Tectrum Picks began in 2001 with a craftsman who believed technically & scientifically crafted Plectrums could change the way players connect with their instrument.
He wasn’t chasing trends. He wasn’t trying to build a company. He was simply obsessed with the idea that a pick could be more than a disposable piece of plastic — it could be a lifetime tool, a personal artifact, a part of someone’s sound.
He built every one of the earliest picks by hand in the Bay Area, shaping rescued and sustainable materials into something that felt alive between your fingers. Musicians noticed. Word spread. And before long, Tectrum Picks became a quiet legend — a boutique secret passed from guitarist to guitarist, drummer to drummer, friend to friend...
In loving memory of the man who created all of this. When he left us, he left behind more than titanium. He left behind a community, a sound, and a legacy.
Today, I’m continuing his work. Not to commercialize it. Not to modernize it beyond recognition. But to keep him alive in the hands of the people who loved his creations — and in the hands of new players discovering them for the first time.
Every pick released carries Seth's curious spirit, his intricate precision, and his belief that music deserves tools built with intention. TECTRUM Picks isn’t just a brand. It’s a Movement. And you’re part of it.
